is a large mesh screen, usually 1/4”. It is used to screen or riddle the facing
sand that contacts the pattern.
Commercial foundry:
A power riddle
is a screen that shakes from a vibrating motor. The sand
rattles around against itself, the clumps break up and fall through the
holes when small enough.
